Bari Sardo is a small town on the eastern coast of Sardinia, in Ogliastra: around 3,800 inhabitants, a 10 km Blue Flag coastline, and a natural gateway to some of the most beautiful coves in Italy.
It is not a place you can take in over the course of an afternoon. It reveals itself slowly, between one beach and the next, between the sea and the roads that lead inland.
Bari Sardo is not just about beaches.
The area offers activities for different types of travellers, from those who want to stay in the water all day to those who prefer exploring the region.

The town centre has bars, restaurants and a relaxed evening stroll that, in summer, comes alive with visitors and local life. Restaurants serve authentic Ogliastra cuisine: fresh fish, culurgiones, cheeses and local cured meats.
The Prima Luna team knows the right places to recommend depending on your taste and the kind of evening you are looking for.
From Cagliari: SS 125 Orientale Sarda northbound, about 120 km — 1 hour 40 minutes. From Nuoro: SS 389 or SS 125 eastbound, about 80 km — 1 hour 15 minutes. Free parking is available in front of the property and in Prima Luna’s private internal area.
The nearest airport is Cagliari-Elmas (about 130 km). Alternatives are Olbia Costa Smeralda (about 190 km) and Alghero-Fertilia (about 230 km). Car hire is recommended in all cases.
The port of Arbatax-Tortolì is about 20 km from Bari Sardo, with direct connections from Genoa, Civitavecchia and Naples via Tirrenia/Grimaldi. It is the ideal option for those travelling by motorcycle or bicycle and wanting to bring their vehicle to Sardinia.
